What is Sublimation printing?
Sublimation is the transition of a sublimation ink directly from a solid state to a gas state. It does not pass through the usual liquid state and only occurs at specific temperatures and pressures.
How does sublimation printing work?
Sublimation printing is a specific process of printing that first involves printing onto a special sheet of paper, then transferring that image onto another material usually polyester or a polyester mix or items prepared for sublimation. The ink is then heated until it disintegrates into a gas which is trapped in the fabric’s pores which the heat opens up, the gas combines with the material once released from the heat press the cooling returns it back into a solid form.
